If you are looking for information on how can I apply for a work permit visa under the new rules, this guide covers everything from the official government fees to the step-by-step online process.
The working visa Kyrgyzstan fee structure has changed. It is now a combination of local government fees (paid in SOM) and the Unified Permit fee (paid in USD). The price depends on your citizenship.
| Citizenship | Gov. Fees (SOM) | Permit Fee (USD) | Total Estimated Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| India, Pakistan, China, USA, Europe, etc. | 30,000 KGS (20k Attraction + 10k Admin fees) | $300 USD (Entry + Annual) | ~30,000 KGS + $300 |
| Uzbekistan, Turkey | 30,000 KGS (20k Attraction + 10k Admin fees) | $30 USD (Entry + Annual) | ~30,000 KGS + $30 |
The kyrgyzstan work visa price is not paid in a single lump sum. The government has divided the process into two stages:
Duration: 2 months.
You apply for the initial "Unified Permit" to enter the country. This serves as your entry visa. You pay the first part of the fees at this stage.
Duration: Up to 1 year.
After you arrive and begin working, the permit is extended for the main period (12 months). You pay the remaining balance here.
Special Rule for Uzbekistan: Citizens of Uzbekistan living in border regions who commute daily for work receive a permit issued immediately for 6 months.
To obtain a Unified Permit, you must have a legal basis for your stay. There are two options:
The entire process is now digital via the government portal evisa.e-gov.kg. Here is the workflow:
The new Unified Permit contains a unique QR code. You can verify the document by scanning this code or by logging into the dashboard on the evisa.e-gov.kg website.
You cannot apply as a private individual without legal status. You must either have an Employer who applies for you, OR you must register as an Individual Entrepreneur (IP/Patent) to submit the application.
Previously, you needed a Work Permit (paper) AND a Work Visa (sticker in passport). Now, these are combined into one electronic document called the "Unified Permit." It is faster and cheaper.
